Developing new camping spaces and attracting investments in the Danube region was the primary goal of this project, implemented from February 2008 to January 2009 by Camping Association of Serbia. At the same time, the project was defined based on the new proposal of a book of regulations for elements and criteria for campsite categorization in Serbia, with the aim of improving existing camping offer and adjusting it according to European standards in the camping sector, as well as preparing presentation material for Regional Investment Fair of a World Tourist Organization in Belgrade in April.
Throughout the project coordination has been established with the following institutions and organizations: municipalities and cities in the Danube region (Apatin, Sombor, Beočin, Sremski Karlovci, Novi Sad, Belgrade, Kladovo and Negotin), Tourist Organization of Serbia, Tourist Organization of Belgrade, Tourist Informative Centre of Novi Sad and European Association of Camping Federations – EFCO&HPA.
Results of this project can be viewed through promoting the camping offer of Serbia and the Danube region, promoting new investments in the camping of the given region, conducting and expected enforcement of a new suggestion of the book of regulations for elements and criteria for campsite categorization in the Republic of Serbia, as well as the promotion of the camping offer of Serbia and the Danube region on the International Conference of Investments (April, 2009). The data concerning new investments in the camping sector of the Danube region are presented in the form of an investment brochure, as well as a DVD presentation and animation of the entire project.
