Opening, Kick-off meeting of the project “Ecotourism Development in Nature Protected Areas of Lower Danube Region” was held at the headquarters of the “Fruska Gora” National Park in Sremska Kamenica and at the headquarters of the “Djerdap” National Park in Donji Milanovac. is to strengthen local capacities for developing and providing sustainable tourism services and products in Lower Danube Region in line with environmental protection and promotion of protected natural values which is coherent with the needs and challenges outlined in the Guidelines, as well as other significant programmes and strategies such as Europe 2020 and EU Strategy for Danube Region.
The meeting was held from 8th to 10th September aiming in developing a detailed action plan and preparing the time frame of the project activities until June 2013. year. Representatives of the Camping Association of Serbia, “Fruska Gora” National Park and “Djerdap” National Park were participating in Kick of meeting. The project is supported by Danube Competence Center (DCC) and the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GIZ).
